The new law, which amends the FDC Act and other federal laws, allows the FDA new regulatory authority on the manufacture, marketing, and distribution of all tobacco products, including all cigarettes, cigarette tobacco, “roll-your-owntobacco, and smokeless tobacco. Tobacco companies will be required to cover their cartons with large graphic warnings depicting the negative health consequences of smoking.
