DEA 2009 production quotas proposed

Initial calendar year 2009 aggregate production quotas for Schedule I and II controlled substances, in grams of anhydrous acid or base, were set by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). The quotas represent those quantities of controlled substances that may be produced in the U.S. to provide adequate supplies for estimated medical, scientific, research, industrial, lawful export, and reserve stock requirements. The DEA must receive comments or objections on or before December 8, 2008.
