The FDA published its annual report on the status of the postmarketing study commitments made by applicants of approved drug and biological products. Notably, 71 percent of the 1,281 new drug application reports are still pending, with only 12 percent submitted, and 33 percent of the biologic license application reports are still pending, with only 20 percent submitted.
